Sephora Spring Sale Haul: Managing Skincare In My 30’s

Happy Wednesday! I am sharing what I scored at the Sephora Beauty Insider Spring Sale AND what I wish I had gotten. Sephora Spring Sale is such a great deal. They have all different levels of discounts depending on how much you spend and if you are signed up with them. I also scored an additional discount because of my birthday!

My skincare requirements have really changed since I entered my 30’s. My skin type is oily to dry skin which can be a challenge with products. My skin has not been looking its best lately especially with all the travel I do between Seattle and San Francisco.  I need products beyond just a face wash & moisture – I have been doing a lot of research on skincare, serums, and oils. Investing in your skincare is key (even more than getting that new handbag or Jimmy Choos). I have been using my jade roller with my cleansing oil (this was on my Christmas Gift Guide). I wanted to invest more in face masks and serums that would help with complexion and dark spots. But I am excited to share these new products I picked up at the Sephora Spring sale. Did you shop the Sale – tell me what you got below↓?

Drunk ElephantI first heard of Drunk Elephant in a facebook group, then began seeing articles pop up around their products on The Cut and Instagram. My go-to place when investigating a brand I always turn to Amazon. Their review section is a great resource to see how products really perform. Drunk Elephant Night Serum had the best reviews! That is what I order a month ago and the night serum has worked really well! It has really brightened and evened out my complexion. Seeing how well the night serum worked I decided to pick up these products by Drunk Elephant:

*Make sure to follow the directions of these products and do not mix retinol / other products as people have reported bad reactions.

Living ProofThis is my favorite dry shampoo! If you follow me on Instagram (follow me here!). I am always raving about this dry shampoo. I love it! I even talked about it in one of my most recent YouTube videos. This brand works so well for my hair and smells incredible. Some dry shampoos can smell chemically or just offputting – which then transfers to your hair. Living Proof dry shampoo smell so wonderful. I also like that it does not leave any weird residue in my hair.

Olaplex For anyone that color treats their hair – Olapex is a great repairing treatment for the damage that color does to your hair. My hair is still very damaged from when I dyed my hair bright pink for a few months (see my pink hair: here and here). It was totally worth it but now I need to focus on repair and treatment. Olaplex is something I use 2-3 times a week to help repair the structural damage to my hair. I already see a difference after a month of use. So I ordered more!

Kate Somerville Acne Mask – This foam mask is a best seller on the Sephora website and has rave reviews. I have only used it about 2-3 times but I am already seeing a difference in my skin. This is a foaming mask that you leave on for 10 mins and rinse off. This mask has sulfur which helps reduce the appearance of pores and helps prevent acne.  Best results are seen after 4 weeks – I will keep you updated on my progress!
