Happy Friday! We wanted to cover a bit of a different topic today. While we love to share our personal style, its far more important to highlight significant events like the Nepal earthquake and the recovery effort currently underway. This event hits a bit close to home as Whit’s brother was set to be married in Nepal later this Fall. Nepal is where his his bride-to-be grew up and hold a very special place in her heart. Her parents had actually flown into Katmandu the morning of the earthquake and were shopping in the market when it hit. They continued to experience large aftershocks and are sleeping outside as most building are not sound after the quake. The death toll has exceeded over 7,000 and people are in desperate need of clean water, medicine and reconstruction efforts.
They have recommend a few charities below that are doing work currently on the ground and striving to get aid into the villages. Buzzfeed also has some good recommendations on different relief organizations: here.

Please keep Nepal in your thoughts and prayers, as the recovery efforts have just begun for the half a million people who have been displaced from their homes and villages.

We recommend always researching all charities and nonprofit organizations before making any donations.
