It was my birthday yesterday! But this birthday looks a bit different due to everyone staying home and quarantine. I decided to throw a digital birthday party on Zoom.
I invite my friends from all over for a fun night of games and fun, BYOB required! A digital birthday party is just like a real party! The only difference is everyone is joining from their laptops, tablets, or mobile devices.
All you need to create your own digital birthday party is the email addresses of your friends, the date and time of the party, and make sure to BYOB!
Bonus Tip: We found a great online party game that lets up to 9 people play with games that everyone can play! It’s really fun and helps people get in a festive silly mood!
If you are having a birthday and want to see all your amazing friends and family AND make it interactive – follow these easy steps to set up your own digital party!
What You Need For A Digital Party:
- Your Phone & Laptop
- Video Conferencing: Zoom, Google Hangout etc.
- Date & Time for Party
- Email Addresses for your party guest list
- JackBox Party Pack | JackBoxGames.com
- Your Drink of Choice! (Champagne, Whiteclaw, Wine etc)
To Play Games:
You need both your phone and laptop. The laptop will let you see all your friends and it’s the interactive platform for the games. Your phone is your game controller.
After you snag a JackBox Party Pack you will go to “Jackbox.tv” on your mobile browser and enter the four-letter room code displayed on the screen. Once you enter a display name, your mobile device is synced up with the game!
All game prompts will be received and entered on your phone and then everyone will be able to see your answer in the room on the laptop! Use your phones or tablets as controllers, you can play with up to 8 players.
