Leather Accents

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Today we are excited to bring you our second style collaboration with T.J. Maxx!
The theme for today’s style challenge; leather!
Leather and is such a hot trend for this Fall.  While we are both fans of more standard leather pieces like jackets and moto boots, we love that leather is popping up in more polished and sophisticated ways this season. It makes for a great accent fabric and is showing up on everything from shirt collars to dresses.
I was psyched to find this black button down blouse on a recent T.J. Maxx shopping trip.  I’ve been on the hunt for a quality black blouse to wear to work and I loved the collar on this one.  Not only does the leather add a bit of edge to the feminine blouse, but it also provides an interesting contrast to the tweed fabric of the designer skirt I paired it with, (also from T.J. Maxx!)  I finished the look by adding some black t-strap heels with leather trim and a bright bag.  Such a perfect look for the office!
So if you are looking for a must have piece to add to your wardrobe for Fall, definitely add leather.  It’s not just for biker girls anymore!

If you are still hesitant about wearing leather, start small by adding some leather accessories.  Leather trim on heels adds an unexpected detail.  If you are wearing mostly neutral colors, try a leather bag in a bold statement color to make your look stand out!

I was totally smitten with this peplum top I stumbled across at T. .J. Maxx. I just love the leather accent on it! Wearing leather to work can be a bit tricky. But this peplum top was perfect with the simple neckline and leather peplum. Leather is such a great material and keeps you warm, especially for when the weather turns colder.
This is the type of top that works with colorful skinny pants or a pencil skirt. I like to keep it more simple with leather details so I added this great bag with the gold zipper detail. I loved the quality that I found at T. J. Maxx. Finding pieces that will last and at a great deal is my kind of shopping! I added some leather cap toe heels and a red lip to finish off my look. How do you guys incorporate leather into your everyday looks?
-XOXO

I love the tops on both of you! It can be really tricky to wear leather to work if you don’t work at Harley Davidson…But you two look smashing and classy.
