Fashion Lines: Blogger Edition

One of the best things about being a blogger is the community. You meet so many amazing women that are like-minded, love fashion but also have a passion for business, entrepreneurship and getting shit done! I always love to support any blogger collaborations or brands that bloggers put out. I am very aware that the fashion industry does not cater to all women and it’s a huge disservice. A large part of why I started Britt+Whit was to make fashion more fun, easy and accessible.

The fashion lines I am highlighting today are both about inclusivity and reaching an undervalued consumer.  While I am very tall (5’11) – I am a traditional size which means I can usually find clothing in my size. Not all women are so lucky. Fashion lines like Nadia’s and Premme, which I will get into shortly, are helping show that the demand is there, hugely so, for clothing lines catering to the fuller-figured women (which should have been a NO DUH!). It’s important to demand change – especially if retailers are only catering to a small minority. And if the retailers don’t listen – go out and forge your own path like these awesome female entrepreneurs!

BY NADIA ABOULHOSN (INCLUSIVE CLOTHING LINE)

When I saw that Nadia Aboulhosn was putting out a line I was very excited. I love her style and her realness on twitter. If you don’t follow her you are missing out! I knew all of her designs were going to be so fierce. I loved the Devyn two-piece set. I got both the top and the skirt. This is my resort styling of the top. The best part is her line is it’s all about being inclusive and affordable, all looks in her line are under $100. She has traditional sizes all the way up to size 24.

PREMME (PLUS SIZE CLOTHING LINE)

The other line that I am excited to highlight is Premme by Nicolette Mason and Gabi Gregg which just launched! This is a new plus-size clothing line that these bloggers created and designed! Talk about Boss Ladies! This line caters to ladies size 12-30. Their launch saw HUGE success with the line selling out in literally minutes – don’t worry they have already restocked! The line is so cute! I need their FEMENST AF denim jacket – I wish it came in my size! And every item in the collection is under $100 too! Both of these ladies totally inspire me with their trailblazing.

Sidenote – the last time Britt and I went to NYFW we shared an elevator up with Nicolette Mason to the Kate Spade presentation and she was literally the NICEST person ever. Our 2 min elevator chat/ride probably had no impact on her – but Britt and I were both dying inside. It totally made our day meeting her!
