This outfit screams Fall to me, especially the plaid! Plaid for Fall is always a classic. This print definitely saw an update this season across the runways with quite a few brands featuring this classic print. This season’s plaid was all about re-mixing plaid with new colors and oversized lines. I love re-mixing this trend in a few different ways. I love to style plaid for outerwear: here and here. I found this green check plaid coat on New Look, which is a British retailer. I like the darker plaid shade, its perfect for the Pacific Northwest. I picked out a few of my favorite plaid coat options to shop below for Fall!

My black booties and my sweatshirt are by both by Ralph Lauren. I found this sweatshirt in the male section of Macy’s. I always like to browse the men sections for sweaters and hoodies. They tend to have more classic design styles I like – then I just size accordingly. It’s gotten colder in Seattle so the hoodie and jacket combination was the perfect way to layer. I hope you had a fun weekend. Its hard to believe we are already in the middle of October. I am ready to do some pumpkin carving and figure out my Halloween costume. Do you know what are you going to be for Halloween yet?

I never would have thought to layer a coat over another jacket like that. So cute!

Loving the look! New Look is one of my favourite shops and I love to browse in the male section for clothes (my reasons are a little different to yours though).
